These two little dragons were originally sculpted as little bookends. They are small but being bronze and solid bronze at that they are quite heavy. When mounted on various sized blocks of stone they are heavier still. They may be purchased separately or as a pair. I can can put them on a variety of stone colors and thicknesses. Two of the same kind may be purchased or one of each, whatever works best for you. One thing I discovered after they were completed was that they individually made nice little pieces mounted on a round marble bases, while these may not be the best for holding up books they do display well this way. I have heard comments in shows that the little Resting Dragon looks a bit like a persons dog resting in the shade on a hot summer day. This is nice to hear because this is the look I was going for, a dragon, resting under a shady tree perhaps. The Gazing dragon is perhaps a bit more like a cat. I have seen cats contemplating something at their feet, (usually a caterpillar or something), for moments on end. That is what this dragon is doing.
