Juggernaut
21" long x 16" tall x 16" wide

Juggernaut is my latest dragon piece. The image I was trying for with this sculpture is a combination of power, grace and toughness. I had this big dragon in mind, stalking down a shattered rocky hillside onto its quarry below. Look closely at the skin of this dragon, the scale pattern was actually taken from a very large monitor lizard as well as some other reptiles. I used a skin safe alginate for this, it gave me a very detailed scale impression to use to use as surface texture for the body structure underneath. It was fun to make and even more to see it all together after it was cast into bronze.
The base on this piece is of a black granite with golden flecks sprinkled throughout.
